2010 Annual Meeting - Pittsburgh - May 20-22
Mark your calendars for the 35th annual meeting to be held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, May 20-22, 2010.
A wonderful schedule of tours and talks to introduce us to the prints of the area is being organized.
Day 1
- Visit the Senator John Heinz History Center, with introductions by Anne Madarasz, Museum Division Director and Director of the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum, and David Grinnell, Chief Archivist at the History Center

- Dinner and print sale
Day 2
- Visit the Carnegie Musuem of Art and Natural History
- Bernadette Callery, Assistant Professor in the Library and Information Science Program at the University of Pittsburgh and Museum Librarian at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, will present "Natural Transactions: Natural History Illustrations in Nineteenth Century American Museum Journals"
- Mariana Whitmer, Executive Director of the Center for American Music, will speak about nineteenth-century illustrated sheet music
- Amanda Zehnder, Assistant Curator of Fine Arts, will lead us on a private tour the exhibition Caricature, Satire and Comedy of Manners: Works on Paper from the 18th - 20th Centuries
- Visit the Hunt Botanical Library where Lugene Bruno, Acting Curator of Art & Senior Research Scholar, will discuss a selection of American botanical prints prepared for our private viewing
Day 3
- Annual members meeting
- Christopher Lane will give an illustrated talk "A Panorama of Pittsburgh"
- George Nama will discuss "Antique Pittsburgh Prints from an Artist.s Perspective."
- Visits to the Frick Museum and the adjacent property Clayton, Henry Clay Frick's historic home
- Visit to the Hillman Foundation where we will view selections of Hillman.s extraordinary collection of Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania prints and maps
- Banquet and annual auction

We invite you to join AHPCS or renew your membership immediately by filling out and submitting our online membership form. You will pay your dues through an online payment processor (via credit card or electronic transfer).
The annual meeting is open to all members. Held in a different city each year, the annual meeting is designed to broaden collectors' horizons through cooperation with the leading institutions of the host city, which provide meeting rooms and auditoriums, behind the scenes tours, and exhibits of special interest to AHPCS members.
